As the demands on aging services professionals continue to grow, access to timely, practical education is more important than ever. LeadingAge Minnesota is offering two valuable virtual learning opportunities this spring designed to support both frontline clinical teams and organizational leaders navigating policy changes.
New! Nurse Lunch & Learn Webinar Series
Busy nursing teams need education that fits into their day—and delivers immediate value. That’s exactly what the new Nurse Lunch & Learn Webinar Series is designed to do.
These 30-minute virtual sessions, held over the lunch hour, combine a focused expert presentation with a short interactive exercise to help participants quickly apply what they’ve learned in real-world care settings. Topics are carefully selected to address critical clinical issues impacting both care centers and assisted living communities.
Upcoming sessions (Noon – 12:30 p.m.):
- April 7, 2026 – Recognizing Early Signs of Sepsis in Elderly Residents
- May 6, 2026 – Pain Assessment in Non-Verbal Residents
- June 15, 2026 – Urinary Tract Infections vs. Colonization
This series is ideal for Directors of Nursing, Nurse Managers, and frontline nursing staff looking to strengthen clinical skills and improve resident outcomes.
Member Benefit: Complimentary registration, with the opportunity to earn 0.50 CEU clock hours per session (live attendance required).
Minnesota Legislature: Impact to Aging Services
Stay informed on the policy decisions shaping your work. Following the conclusion of the 2026 Minnesota Legislative Session, LeadingAge Minnesota will host a timely webinar to break down what new laws mean for aging services providers.
Friday, May 29 | 11 a.m. – Noon
This one-hour session will provide a clear overview of recently passed legislation, highlight how LeadingAge Minnesota’s advocacy priorities fared, and outline what comes next for providers and advocates supporting older adults.
Participants will gain insight into:
- Key legislative changes impacting aging services
- The practical implications for your residents and organization
- Ways to stay engaged in advocacy efforts moving forward
This webinar is designed for a broad audience, including administrators, nurse leaders, assisted living and home-based service providers, HR professionals, and others interested in public policy and its impact on aging services.
Member Benefit: Complimentary registration. A recording will also be available on-demand in the Learning Center for those unable to attend live.
These opportunities reflect LeadingAge Minnesota’s commitment to providing relevant, accessible education that supports your team, strengthens care, and keeps you informed. We encourage you to take advantage of these offerings and share them with your colleagues.
Registration is now open for both programs.
