2021 Stars Among Us Awards Open for Nomination, New Rising Star Award Introduced

Posted on June 23, 2020 by Barbara Landeen

The Stars Among Us Awards nominations are open, and we want to hear all about your stars. More than ever, this is a year to recognize your dedicated staff team for their tireless commitment to serving older adults. In addition to our most popular awards, we are excited to introduce a new award this year – the Rising Star Award.

The Rising Star Award honors a person who stands out in their efforts to transform and enhance the experience of aging. It’s for virtually anybody in your organization who represents the values of LeadingAge Minnesota and is shaping the future of our field.

Other updates include a move to a single Outstanding Leadership Award, and alignment of Excellence in Practice awards to our Performance Excellence and Safe Care for Seniors initiatives. Plus, our most popular awards are back – Caregiver, Volunteer and Board Trustee of the Year; and Spirit of Aging.

Nomination are open through Sept 8. Recipients will be honored at the Institute & Expo, Feb 10-12, 2021 in St. Paul. Find complete details and nomination information here.
