Apply by April 8: Minnesota Dual Training Grant Now Open
Posted on February 26, 2026 by Anna Mowry
Up to $150,000 available to help you train and retain nursing assistants, LPNs, RNs, and other key staff through structured dual-training programs.
The Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) has opened the 2026 Dual Training Grant application period. This funding supports employers who pair on-the-job training with related classroom instruction, creating a structured pathway for employees to earn an industry-recognized degree, certificate, or credential.
With workforce challenges continuing across senior care, this grant can help offset the cost of training frontline staff in high-demand roles — including nursing assistants, LPNs, RNs, and senior living culinary managers — while building long-term retention strategies.

- Up to $6,000 per employee (dual trainee)
