Get Ready: OnTrack Medication Aide (TMA) Training Program Launches Jan. 1
Posted on December 18, 2025 by Anna Mowry
OnTrack Medication Aide (TMA) Training launches January 1, 2026. Newly approved by the Minnesota Department of Health, this hybrid medication aide training program was developed in response to member requests for accessible, online training and expands career advancement opportunities for caregivers across the state.
What’s launching Jan. 1
The OnTrack Medication Aide (TMA) Training—also known as OnTrack TMA—was developed by the LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation and is powered by our partners at EduCare. Members asked for a flexible, statewide solution to Trained Medication Aide training—and we listened.
The model builds on the success of the OnTrack Nursing Assistant program, which has trained more than 10,000 individuals since 2018.
Don’t forget: LeadingAge Minnesota members receive a discount on every OnTrack enrollment.
Also coming in early 2026: Translated Learning Journals for Nursing Assistants
In addition to TMA training, organizations currently operating OnTrack Nursing Assistant programs will have access to translated Learning Journals in Spanish, Somali, or Hmong in early 2026.
These materials will be available free for a limited time, thanks to funding from the Department of Human Services GEAR Division and the LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation, and are designed to support learner comprehension and success.
