In-Person MDS Training Workshops Support Quality Outcomes and Reimbursement Success
Posted on June 11, 2026 by Sharon Hollister
Looking to strengthen your organization's MDS practices? LeadingAge Minnesota's in-person MDS training workshops provide practical education for both experienced professionals and those new to the role.
The MDS, Five-Star, QRP, and VBP—From Data to Performance workshop takes place July 16 and is designed for Directors of Nursing, MDS Coordinators, Administrators, and clinical leaders. Participants will learn how MDS accuracy influences quality measures, Five-Star ratings, Value-Based Purchasing outcomes, and reimbursement, while gaining practical strategies to improve documentation and reduce risk.
Registration is also open for Foundations for New MDS Professionals, a two-day intensive workshop on November 12–13. Designed for newer MDS coordinators and clinical team members, this program builds foundational knowledge in MDS completion, care planning requirements, scheduling, Medicare coverage criteria, and PDPM fundamentals.
Both workshops will be presented by Marilyn Ramirez, MSN, RN, RAC-CTA, WCC, Executive Vice President of MDS Solutions, and held at the Minnesota Humanities Center in St. Paul.
Whether you're looking to sharpen performance metrics or build foundational MDS expertise, these workshops offer practical tools participants can apply immediately.
