Independent Living Workshop Is Next Week: There’s Still Time to Join Us
Posted on October 1, 2026 by Sharon Hollister
LeadingAge Minnesota’s Independent Living workshop, Tackling the Tough Stuff: Operating Independent Senior Housing Today, is coming up next Thursday, Oct. 8, at Applewood Pointe of Eagan.
It’s a day of practical education specifically designed for independent senior housing – its residents, its operations and its unique challenges.
Spend the day exploring four issues that directly affect independent living communities: occupancy, property maintenance, resident wellness and changing resident needs. You’ll hear practical strategies and resources from experienced professionals and connect with colleagues who understand the realities of independent senior housing. The workshop concludes with an extended panel discussion about one of independent living’s most complex realities: helping residents remain safely housed—or transition to a more appropriate level of support—while respecting their rights and independence.
Join us to learn, exchange ideas and connect with colleagues who understand the distinct realities of operating independent senior housing.
- Thursday, Oct. 8 | 10 a.m.–3:35 p.m.—Applewood Pointe of Eagan
- LeadingAge Minnesota members: $55 per person
- Morning beverages and a boxed lunch are included.
