Posted on February 26, 2026 by Kirstan Ketter
The LeadingAge Minnesota Foundation has developed a new five-part video series designed to help member providers recruit and onboard talent from Minnesota’s immigrant and refugee communities.
The series showcases meaningful career opportunities in our field.
The Videos Include:
- A Day in the Life of a Caregiver
- A Day in the Life of an Elder
- Pathways to Possibilities
- Success Stories
- What to Expect
Each video is available in eight languages: English, French, Hmong, Oromo, Spanish, Somali, Swahili, and Ukrainian.
How You Can Use Them
These videos are practical tools you can immediately incorporate into your workforce strategy:
- Share with community-based organizations and employment navigators
- Use at job fairs and hiring events
- Embed on your careers page
- Send to candidates before or after interviews
- Include in new employee orientation and onboarding
- Use to support career pathway conversations with staff
They help set realistic expectations, address misconceptions about aging services, and demonstrate the purpose, stability, and growth opportunities our field offers.
These are open resources created for you. We encourage you to use them broadly in your recruitment and workforce development efforts. If you’d like access to the downloadable versions, please contact Kirstan Ketter.
