Operations Certificate Program – Why It Matters For You
Posted on February 19, 2026 by Sharon Hollister
Recently, we announced that registration was open for our Operations Certificate Program. As we look ahead to our April 1 start date, we want to share more about what participants can expect and why this program comes at the right time for our members.
Operations leadership in assisted living and care center communities has never been more complex. Regulatory scrutiny, workforce challenges, financial pressures, and rising consumer expectations require leaders who are not only knowledgeable—but confident, agile, and well-connected. This program was designed with those realities in mind.
A Cohort Experience Designed for Real-World Application
Unlike single-day workshops, the Operations Certificate Program is structured as a progressive learning experience. Each two-day session builds on the previous one, allowing participants to apply concepts between sessions and return ready to refine their approach.
Between April and July, participants will:
- Strengthen leadership and communication practices that directly impact staff engagement and retention
- Gain clarity and confidence navigating surveys, contracts, and compliance requirements
- Assess operational risks and improve workplace readiness and safety systems
- Connect quality outcomes with financial performance
- Explore budgeting strategies and technology tools that support smarter decision-making
The spacing of sessions allows time for reflection, implementation, and consultation—turning learning into measurable improvement.
Perhaps just as important, the cohort model allows participants to build a professional network of peers facing similar challenges—creating connections that extend well beyond the program.
Who Should Attend?
This program is ideal for:
- New and emerging administrators
- Site leaders preparing for expanded responsibility
- Operational managers seeking broader systems knowledge
- Leaders who want to move from reactive problem-solving to proactive operational strategy
If you or someone on your team is ready to strengthen operational leadership and drive stronger outcomes, this is the opportunity to invest in that growth.
