Marvella, a vibrant senior living community in Saint Paul, Minnesota, celebrated a major milestone recently. A dedication ceremony for its newest addition brought together business leaders, senior managers and staff from Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) to mark the occasion.
New Addition
The dedication ceremony marked the completion of construction, which helps meet the needs of a rapidly growing senior population. This new addition features 125 senior apartments with high-end finishes and unique amenities within Highland Bridge, the 122-acre redevelopment of the former Ford automobile plant.
Some of the unique amenities include a spa wellness center, woodworking shop, sky-view club room, spacious amenity deck with grilling stations, golf green and bocce ball court overlooking the public plaza. It is also near the Highland Bridge civic plaza, which features outdoor walking paths and the central water feature. Designed for seniors seeking an active lifestyle, the new community is conveniently located within walking distance of retail, parks, walking paths along the Mississippi River, medical clinics, grocery stores, public transportation and more.
More than ‘Bricks and Mortar’
Jon Fletcher, president and CEO of Presbyterian Homes & Services, said, “Today is really more than a celebration about bricks and mortar; it’s really a testament to vision, to collaboration, to faithful perseverance.”
Marvella is owned, managed and operated by PHS, the nation’s fourth largest nonprofit senior living community provider. The community is already 98 percent leased.
Part of a master-planned community in the heart of the Highland Park neighborhood, Marvella’s newest addition is Saint Paul’s premier senior living community for those seeking an active lifestyle, supportive services, compassionate care and a deep sense of community. It offers independent living, assisted living and memory care apartments as well as supportive services for older adults.
Trincy Faas, campus administrator at Marvella, remarked during the ceremony, “I just want to thank each and every one of you who have been a part and played a role in creating, developing and building Marvella into a beautiful community of people. It’s not just a building; it truly is a community.”
Mike Ryan, national president of Ryan Companies, said, “We just love the opportunity to work with a team that has so many common and shared values as us.”
The project was built by Ryan Companies US, Inc. and designed by Ryan A+E, Inc., the design studio of Ryan Companies.
