Required Participation in the DHS Labor Market Survey

Beginning in early 2021, the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is gathering data about direct care workers in Home and Community Based Services organizations. Organizations are asked to identify a contact person to complete this survey and can submit their contact information here.

HCBS providers are required to participate in this survey under Minnesota Statutes, Section 256B.4914, Subdivision 10a, paragraph (g). This applies to all waiver providers, including those participating in the Elderly Waiver program. DHS states, “This survey will help us learn about our direct support workforce by exploring their experiences and providing an accurate picture of wages, benefits and retention.”
