Vista Prairie Communities Acquires Ridgeway Senior Care Communities in New Ulm, Minnesota

Ridgeway Senior Living and Vista Prairie Communities have completed the transition of ownership for both two senior communities located in New Ulm.

The two properties, Ridgeway on German and Ridgeway on 23^rd, provide assisted living and memory care services in 116 apartments.

Housing Alternatives Development Corporation (HADC) and Vista Prairie Communities completed the ownership transition effective Sept. 30. Both organizations are members of LeadingAge Minnesota.

President and CEO of HADC Ridgeway, Paul Abzug, says, “After 25 years of dedicated service to the New Ulm Community, our strategic planning led us to the difficult decision to transition our ownership of the Ridgeway properties, but we are excited to find a new owner with similar values and a mission to provide compassionate care.”

With this addition, Vista Prairie Communities will now own ten senior communities. “We are very excited to continue our organizational growth and extend our services and programs, such as our new Aspire™ Life on Purpose lifestyle model, to the community of New Ulm,” said Rachelle Strasburg, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “It will impact the landscape of how senior care is delivered and help every person we serve find purpose.”

The ownership change will expand the level of care currently offered in assisted living settings in New Ulm, Minnesota. The changeover will also provide enhanced training, education, and support opportunities for staff members of both Ridgeway communities.
