ALNET to Address One of the Most Frequent Survey Tags: Medication Management

Posted on September 18, 2018 by Elizabeth Sether, RN, MHA, LNHA

Medication management continues to be a frequently cited tag for Comprehensive Home Care surveys. Four of the 19 medication tags are in the top 10 most frequently cited almost 50 percent of the time. The October Assisted Living/Home Care Nurse Leader Network (ALNET) meetings will focus on medication management and provide information and resources to help you remain in compliance.

Record numbers of home care nurse leaders are benefitting from the cutting-edge information on meeting regulatory standards of practice through the quarterly ALNET meetings. The October ALNET meeting will specifically focus on the medication management plan, set up, documentation, provision of services, unplanned and away from home medication management, storage, prescription, delegation of medication administration and renewal of prescriptions.

Don’t miss this deep-dive discussion. Attend one of these four meetings:

  • Detroit Lakes – Oct 17 from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at The Lodge on Lake Detroit
  • Hermantown – Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at LaQuinta Inn Meeting Room
  • Marshall – Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Bella Cucina Restaurant
  • Saint Paul – Oct. 24 from 11:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. at LeadingAge Minnesota

Nurse leaders will also discuss the new Minnesota Department of Health survey form, as well as various methods to set up home care service and care level packages and the pros and cons to each.

For more information and to register, visit the ALNET web page.
