Announcing Our New Assisted Living Certificate Program

LeadingAge Minnesota has combined the best of two popular and enduring certificate programs into one program that meets the current demands and expectations of the key leaders working in Minnesota assisted living programs. This new educational offering is the merger of the previous Housing-with-Services Management and Home Care Nurse Managers certificate programs. 

This single program for facility-based assisted living has separate learning tracks for the Housing with Services/Assisted Living Manager and the Home Care Nurse Manager. Most of the days are joint sessions for optimal training and shared learning on critical legal and operational topics. Two days are separate to focus on specific topics for each professional. Managers and nurses may attend individually or in teams.

SPRING SERIES (Rush Creek Golf Course, Maple Grove)

Session 1

• Day 1 - AL/HWS Laws and Rules (Joint) -  Wednesday, May 30         
• Day 2 - Legal and Provider Protections for Our Customers (Joint) - Thursday, May 31 

Session 2

• Day 3 - Legal and Regulatory Compliance (Managers only) - Tuesday, June 26
• Day 4 - Regulations and Operations (Joint) - Wednesday, June 27
• Day 5 - Clinical Skills (Nurses only) - Thursday, June 28 

Session 3

• Day 6 - Human Resource Management (Joint opening session with 2 concurrent tracks – 1 for managers, 1 for nurses) - Tuesday, August 28
• Day 7 - Financial Management and Leadership (Joint) - Wednesday, August 29
