Elderly Waiver Reform Included in Senate Bill

The Elderly Waiver (EW) reform bill, after receiving hearings in multiple committees in both the House and Senate, has ultimately emerged in a somewhat limited form in the Senate Health and Human Services (HHS) Finance bill (SF 800). While we are disappointed that it is not in the House bill and that we did not get funding for the full need to improve the program, the Senate bill represents an excellent step forward.
