MDH Issues a Special Edition ALL Together Newsletter with Changes to Assisted Living Laws

Posted on November 6, 2022 by Bobbie Guidry

In a special edition of the ALL Together Newsletter sent last week, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) reviewed the assisted living license renewal information and provided a list of changes affecting assisted living facilities included in the Health and Human Services Policy Bill passed in the final hours of the 2022 legislative session.

We are reviewing the final bill language and will issue a detailed report in the coming weeks along with updated resources, including an updated Assisted Living Bill of Rights, updated required postings language, and a revised version of the Essential Guide to Assisted Living in Minnesota. The Essential Guide update is included in the price for those who have previously purchased this resource. Watch for an email with the updated version in mid-July.

LeadingAge Minnesota also provided a list of changes for assisted living in the May 26 edition of Advantage. Stay tuned for more information in the final legislative report issued to all members as a benefit of membership in LeadingAge Minnesota. We expect to release the report before July’s end.
