Housing Support Rate (GRH) Increases July 1

The annual re-calculation of the Housing Support, formerly Group Residential Housing (GRH), rate that covers rent and raw food for eligible participants has resulted in an increase of $18 per month. The new rate of $922 will be effective July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020.

The annual re-calculation of the Housing Support, formerly Group Residential Housing (GRH), rate that covers rent and raw food for eligible participants resulted in an increase of $11 per month. The new rate of $904 will be effective July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.

While historically, guidance on Group Residential Housing (GRH) has said security deposits were not allowed, a recent review by the State’s legal team determined GRH policies DO NOT prohibit landlords from charging a security deposit.

GRH Rate Increases to $891 in July

Effective July 1, the Group Residential Housing (GRH) rate increases to $891 and the food allowance increases to $194. The chart below includes information on how the GRH rate is calculated. The Supplemental Service Rate can cover services for eligible GRH recipients who are not eligible for waiver services, so it is typically not applicable in settings serving older adults.
