Volunteer Opportunities Available for the Virtual 2021 Institute

LeadingAge Minnesota is seeking volunteers to help facilitate sessions at the 2021 Institute, which is occurring virtually from May 18-21.

Even in a virtual environment, it takes a tremendous amount of behind-the-scenes work to make the Institute run as smoothly as possible. There are two opportunities to serve. One is acting as a session host. The role requires no previous experience, no public speaking, no need to appear on the screen and a very minimal time commitment, particularly for a session you might have been planning on attending anyway. We will provide a short list of simple instructions.

Safe Care for Seniors: Last Chance for Recognition at this Year’s Institute

As this year’s Institute draws near, we are finalizing the list of organizations that will be recognized for their work in Safe Care for Seniors at the “Action” and “Excellence” levels. Monday, April 5 is the last day to update your organization’s data to be recognized at the May event. If you are participating in Safe Care for Seniors and have actions in place for each of the 5 action steps, you can access the data portal on the Safe Care for Seniors site to update your progress.

Institute is May 18-21, Registration Opening Soon

Our annual conference is virtual this year and boasts four half-days of learning and peer connections.

The 2021 Institute features three general sessions and keynote speakers, 116 breakout sessions and virtual meetup groups for 14 interest groups. Preview this year’s content and watch this space for registration information coming soon!

Deadline Approaching for Re-Opened 2021 Institute Call for Presentations

Members interested in submitting one or more proposals for the May 19-21 LeadingAge Minnesota Institute have until 5 pm on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 to respond. Proposals can be sent using this link. Questions may be directed to Heidi Simpson at hsimpson@leadingagemn.org. Individuals and companies who submitted proposals in the summer 2020 CFP round have been contacted and asked to make a choice about how they would like their original proposal(s) handled. Copies of original proposal submissions may be requested by contacting Terri Foley tfoley@leadingagemn.org.
