Negotiations Continue at State Capitol; Senator Abeler Tells Members to Get Engaged

With less than a week to go in the legislative session, lawmakers continue to negotiate a framework for a final budget deal. Legislative leaders and Governor Mark Dayton yesterday reached agreement on the agriculture bill, the smallest of the 10 bills that comprise the state budget. While both sides continue to trade offers reflecting movement from their original negotiating positions, big differences remain in the other budget areas.
