Tiffani Kortenbusch of CentraCare Melrose Receives Inaugural Rising Star Award

Posted on February 24, 2022 by Barbara Landeen

Tiffani Kortenbusch, Director of Nursing for CentraCare Melrose Care Center, received LeadingAge Minnesota's first-ever Rising Star Award at the annual Institute & Expo on Feb. 9.

The Rising Star Award was created to honor a person who stands out in their efforts to transform and enhance the experience of aging, regardless of title or position in the organization.

Kortenbusch has worked at CentraCare Melrose for more than five years. She was recently promoted from the Manager of Nursing position to Director of Nursing.

Tiffani is a dedicated leader who works tirelessly to create a better future for professional caregivers, older adults, and the community. A leader among her coworkers, she mentors and inspires them to create a safe, compassionate environment that helps residents find a sense of comfort in their surroundings.

“Tiffani has a clear plan for every possible scenario and was able to implement opening a COVID-19 unit within a matter of hours,” said Anne Major, Administrator, CentraCare Melrose Care Center, who nominated Kortenbusch for the award. “The level of commitment Tiffani has shown over the past 20 months has been astounding. She has coached our team to remain positive and have a can-do attitude during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tiffani is the planner that ensures we will meet our goals and the glue that holds our team together and on track every day.”

Join us in congratulating Tiffani on receiving this honor. Watch the award video to learn more about her story and read about all the 2022 Stars Among Us Award recipients here.
