Kurt Hansen of Ecumen in Park Rapids Announces Retirement

Kurt Hansen, Executive Director at Ecumen-Heritage Living Center, has announced his upcoming retirement effective Nov. 4. He has served the seniors of Park Rapids for over 34 years.

Kurt began his career in long-term care doing yard work for the nursing home in his hometown of Litchfield, MN. He attended Concordia College in Moorhead. After a stint working at a long-term care facility in Montana, he moved back to Minnesota in 1988 and came to Park Rapids as a nursing home administrator/ Executive Director at Heritage Living Center. During his career at Heritage Living Center, Kurt has transformed the community into what it is today: a full continuum of care for the residents of Hubbard County.

Kurt has been a presence in the Park Rapids community at his church, the Park Rapids Noon Rotary Club, a longtime member of Friends of Heritage, and much more. Additionally, Kurt has long been an advocate for older adults. He has served the Association in multiple ways over the years, including as a member of the Board of Directors.
