Despite our best efforts to obtain more information regarding these “trends,” the piece was already moving toward publication. Change of Levels and Fines for Survey Violations for Assisted Living and Home Care Licensees

The Assisted Living and Home Care Statutes were changed effective July 1, to add a Level 5 to survey violation levels. The change affects the amount of fines incurred for each level of violation and demonstrates the degree of concern for resident impact of the violation at each level. Fines are decreased for Level 3 and 4 violations to $1000 and $3000, violations which are more common for providers.

NETStudy 2.0 Offline Starting Friday Evening until Monday Morning

Late on Wednesday afternoon the Department of Human Services (DHS) notified NETStudy 2.0 system users via a GovDelivery message that the NETStudy 2.0 system will be offline for a server upgrade starting on Friday, 4/25, at 7 p.m. and expected to return to normal operations on Monday, 4/28, at 8 a.m. During this server upgrade, do not log into NETStudy 2.0 until you receive an all-clear message from DHS.
