Tune In: MDH Testing Resource Updates and Webinars
On June 23, 2022 by Jonathan Lips
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is hosting two webinars to provide updates for aging services providers about COVID-19 PCR testing resources.
On Friday, June 24, at 10 – 11 a.m., MDH will address updates to the state's contract with Mayo Clinic Laboratories (MCL), what this means for outbreak and serial testing, and the option for facilities to enter into a direct agreement with Mayo for serial testing. A sample contract is expected to be available for participants.

On Monday, July 11, at 1 – 2 p.m., MDH will describe testing resources available through the Midwest Coordination Center (MCC). MCC serves as a connection point between providers and laboratories, facilitating the delivery of specimens and reporting test results. MCC is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, meaning all costs, from specimen collection materials to shipping and testing, are covered.
