Begin Planning Your 2022 Safe Care Pledge Event

Safe Care begins with you and your communities every day in all that you do. Begin planning to hold a Safe Care "Living the Pledge Every Day" Event in June or July to celebrate and renew your commitment to respect, dignity, safety, and quality of life for those we serve.

Here are a few ideas to help your planning and a preview of the resources that will be available to help make your pledge event a success:

  • Have food and beverages at your event to celebrate the commitment you are making – and consider a group activity that everyone can participate in
  • Have Pledge Cards available for staff to sign
  • Staff can complete a Pledge Certificate to share why they are Making the Safe Care Pledge
  • Take pictures of your team with their Pledge Certificate to feature on social media
  • Staff sign a Safe Care Banner
  • Staff receive a Safe Care Pin after completing their Pledge Card (Pins can be ordered through the LeadingAge Minnesota Store)
  • Enter the Safe Care Pledge Event Contest, and win a fabulous prize by submitting pictures of your event

About Safe Care

More than 450 member sites have committed to Safe Care since 2019. It is a comprehensive approach that provides the structure and support for individuals and organizations to keep those they serve safe from harm and provide care with respect and dignity. This starts with an individual pledge followed by organizations pledging their commitment to implement key actions within their organizations with support from LeadingAge Minnesota and shared learning with peers.
