Calling All Safe Care Champions

Get involved or reengage in Safe Care by designating your Safe Care Champion.

Safe Care begins with you and your communities—every day in all that you do. Next week we will be launching the activities and resources to help you hold a Safe Care Living the Pledge – Every Day Event in June or July.

This pledge event will celebrate and renew your commitment to respect, dignity, safety, and quality of life for those we serve. We will be building on that commitment throughout the summer by bringing forward simple activities to live the pledge every day.

A first step you can take is to designate a Safe Care Champion for your site. That person will receive the latest news and resources and coordinate Safe Care in your organization. If you have not already, please submit the name(s) of your Safe Care Champion(s) by using this form.

More than 450 member sites have committed to Safe Care since 2019. It is a comprehensive approach that provides the structure and support for individuals and organizations to keep those they serve safe from harm and to provide care with respect and dignity always. This starts with an individual pledge followed by organizations pledging their commitment to implement critical actions within their organizations with support from LeadingAge Minnesota and shared learning with peers.

Look for more details about the Living the Pledge – Every Day resources and activities in future newsletters. For more information, please contact Julie Apold.
